Probably
my favorite album of all-time, the Beatles crafted an incredibly diverse
collection of songs that 45 years later still sound fresh.
2. "Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs" - Derek & The Dominoes
Eric
Clapton's pinnacle, two disks of blues with passion fueled by unrequited love.
This and From The Cradle are the two, IMHO, greatest blues albums in the
electric blues era.
3. "From The Cradle" - Eric Clapton
Ferocious
guitar work applied to 15 songs that are the definition of blues.
4. “Revolver” - The Beatles
My
second most favorite album. Just great music from the Fab Four that one cannot
live without.
5. “The Beatles [White Album]” - The Beatles
Amazing
diversity and exploration of all that is music.
6. "Exile On Main St." - The Rolling Stones
It's
the Rolling Stones at their absolute best.
7. "Tinseltown" - Pierce Pettis
Pierce
is one of the greatest songwriters in American music history. He writes with
passion, intellect and creativity, and his songs make one think. He also is a
great guy.
8. "Abby Road" - The Beatles
Side
two is the most amazing 20 minutes of music. The whole album is top notch.
