If you are not familiar with the great songwriter Allen Toussaint, (and even if you are), you may not know that he penned the classic song "Whipped Cream" for Herb Alpert and the TJB under the name Naomi Neville.

In 1965, the single "Whipped Cream" was recorded at Gold Star Studios in Hollywood. The song was ...written by Allen Toussaint (under the name Naomi Neville) and the record was produced by Herb Alpert, and Jerry Moss for A&M Records. The song appeared on the album "Whipped Cream & Other Delights" which sold over 6 million copies in the United States. The album cover alone is considered a classic pop culture icon.

The song was also used as a music cue in the TV show "The Dating Game" when the bachelorette was introduced.
